On yelp and google it gives it a “low price” status but nothing is less than $10 and they do charge .27 for waters. But the food is spectacular, just not ideal when looking for cheap eats. They were kind and gave us two free banana puddings because they were closing. Tasted as good as banana pudding ever tastes but there was a small piece of red silicone in one of them like from a mixing spoon. Lastly, brisket was amazing but that may just be because I was starving and I love for brisket.

Had the rib plate with beans and potatoe salad. The ribs were perfect....smokey but not over smoked...meat came off the bone easily and almost had a nice crunchy taste to them. But the beans were the best ever. Recommend this place for bbq. Will be back.

Been driving past this place for years so I decided to finally make a “Pit” stop at Ronnie’s Pit BBQ. Wish I had to continued to pass it by. This is by far one of the worst BBQ places I’ve ever gone to. Meat was sitting out under a heat lamp. That should have been my first signal to high tail it out of there, but I ventured on. I chose a bacon wrapped about 1” thick smoked/grilled pork chop. They were out of sausage and turkey. It was dry as a bone and cut like card board and had no flavor. I had asked for cole slaw and she scraped the bottom of the empty container for the last pieces of cabbage in the bottom to put on the plate. It was weird with jarred green olives in it. The pinto beans tasted bland. As if they had no seasoning and were just boiled in water then served. Most expensive potty break ever! Hopefully there’s flavor and value in the other meats he smokes, but my plate was totally lacking. The BBQ sauce tasted like a bottled Kraft BBQ sauce. Left my whole plate minus the couple of bites to try each item. It was that bad. Nothing special here. Drive on. Unless you like spending $13 dollars just for a plate of something uneatable. (No drink) Photo is deceptive. Looks way better than it tasted.

Highly recommend Ronnie's Ice House Barbeque. Stopped in recently on a Wednesday I think it was and the special was pork loin. It was awesome. I really wanted to try brisket too, but they made it clear you can't have the special on a two meat plate. Anyways, for sides I had pinto beans and coleslaw. They were both good and the olives in the coleslaw was surprisingly good. Stop in, you won't regret it. 02/26/2019 Ronnie's is underrated. Texas Monthly needs to try this place out. Diamond in the rough. The banana pudding blew my mind!

Stopped for the first time for lunch before heading back to florence. Such great food, huge selection, great service. You know that feeling you get when your feeling full.. but you can't stop eating? Yeah it's kinda like that. IT'S THAT GOOD! No other place had that affect on me.
